Hello, and welcome!
Thank you for having a browse of my portfolio. I'm Sophie; an illustrator and graphic artist currently living in South Wales. I've spent the past five years working in the art department for major production companies including Disney+, Universal, Warner Brothers, Amazon, Sony Pictures and Netflix. Wielding a degree in Television and Film Set Design, I am well-prepared for creative problem-solving and am keen to use design to tell a story from the pages of a script.
I also work as an illustrator and have provided artwork for clients including BBC Studios, Penguin Random House and Big Finish Productions. I've designed key art for all kinds of uses, including printed posters, digital assets, book covers and blu-ray steelbook covers. I particularly love portraiture and have developed a colourful style in the past few years. It may be the oldest cliche in the book but I've drawn ever since I was little; I have the chaotic 4-year-old doodles to prove it!

Texting at Work – Graphics assistants Sophie Cowdrey and Aled Griffiths help create the text and printed images seen in Doctor Who. In effect, they build whole worlds with words, as they tell Simon Guerrier.
